In a broad sense manager is a person who is in charge of planning, coordinating, directing and monitoring the activity of a group of people, at different levels.
According to the size and structure of each organization, management jobs may be available at different levels. The most common levels are: supervisor (first level management job, small group of people), manager (supervising employees directly or managing supervisors, according to the size and level of development of the organization), senior manager (extended experience, sometimes in charge of training managers) and general managers (extended decisional authority). Especially within large organizations there are other special management levels as Directors, Vice-President, C-level and CEO.
Project Manager, Financial Manager, Computer Information Systems Manager, Purchasing Manager, Administrative Services Manager, PR Manager, HR Manager are all common management positions.
