Aylesbury is the county town of Buckinghamshire in South East England, the southern part of which forms a prosperous part of the London commuter belt. There are four districts in the county – Aylesbury Vale, Wycombe, South Bucks and Chiltern.
The land here is fertile and used for agriculture, while local manufacturing includes furniture making centred around High Wycombe. The pharmaceutical industry is also significant in terms of the local, largely service-based, economy.
The new town of Milton Keynes is the largest town and the Chiltern Hills has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) By Natural England, on behalf of the UK government.
